 Three Greedy Thieves

Once in a village, there lived three thieves. They wanted to leave the village because one in the village knew about them. No one liked those three thieves.

One day, very early in the morning they left their village. They walked a long way. They reached a hut of a hermit in the jungle. They asked him for a day's shelter in his hut. He agreed.

Next morning, they woke up early and became ready to start their journey. But the hermit warned them about the way. He said, "There lives a death in a well. I saved my life with great difficulty."

But the thieves laughed and said "Well are not afraid of death. We are three and brave, too. "When they went ahead, they felt tired and thirsty in he jungle in the jungle. Soon they noticed a well. They looked down. There was no water but a big piece of gold! They wondered and were overjoyed. They pulled the gold out and became very rich.

But they were very hungry. One thief decided to go to the village and bring some food. the other two had to cut the gold into three pieces.

The first thief coming back from the village had an idea of possessing the whole piece of gold. the ate some food and put poison on the rest of the food. He reached the place but the two had already made a plan to kill him and divide the gold themselves. They hit him on his head with a big stick and killed him. They were very hungry, so they sat down to wat the food. When they ate the poisoned food, both of them died.
